"The mansion was great fun, with a few games thrown in and the study escape room was excellent. One of the highlights of the day for me was when, in the escape room, we had to dial a number into a phone. Both of our daughters were flummoxed by the lack of buttons and the old style rotating dial and didn't know how to use it!"

"This year Hidden Valley is celebrating 30 years of puzzling people and it's better than ever. We have been coming every couple of years since the early days and seen the once modest park transform into the ultimate puzzle attraction it has become. New for 2024, The Study (a mini escape room experience) and Ames Room (a fun optical illusion) on top of everything that came before. Particularly delighted that The Vault is once again part of the attraction in a different form."

"The kids adored the puzzles and the different levels within it , big blimp trail was perfect for our older teens (and the adults too), little blimp worked so well to get the little un involved and keep everyone on there toes. The final room for the trail was so fun and we can't wait to come again next year for new puzzles... Next year I think we'll allocate two days not just one to this activity."

"This place is such a hidden gem. We haven't had such a good family day out in such a long time! Fully interactive with lots of clues and mysteries to solve... The timed quizzes in the mansion were challenging and needless to say we didn't do very well with young children and their happy clicking! But finding all the clues to the quizzes just kept us engrossed all day. Such a clever, interactive and classy set up that should be replicated all over the country! Highly recommend this place, exceptional value for money and will certainly return!"

The results (and the time you took) were recorded and you could see how well you did at the end of the day. An ingenious timed entry control stopped the Mansion being too crowded."

"We loved that they had combined the challenges from the vault with the Forbidden Mansion and were pleased with ourselves for completing 4 of them. We went to the desk to show how many we had got and they very kindly gave us the chance, free of charge, to have another go at the challenges again. Again we completed 4 but a different 4 this time. After this they let us have another go, simply to see if we could bump it up to 5, which sadly we didn't, but we did mange to complete a different arrangement of 4. There was only one puzzle which we didn't manage to complete, but this didn't upset us as we had 10 crystals in total and enough to win us both a gold badge."

It is totally different from any other day out we have experienced and it's very easy to get totally immersed into the challenges (and take over from the kids!!!) My only word of advice - don't let your partner take over in the Vault if they don't read instructions carefully first as this can lead to arguments over not completing if you are competitive like me - so intense!"
